YYes ladies, the bright colours are becoming trendy again and it is time for some fashion advice on when to wear these colourful dresses .
Size and Length
When buying a dress, it is always important to remember that the size as well as the length of the dress should fit correctly. We don’t want the dress to be too tight but tight enough to show off the curves. Always try a dress on when purchasing a dress at a normal retailer or read the product description when buying it online. In terms of the length of the dress, the rule of thumb here is “the more formal the occasion the longer the dress”. Also, if you are a petite lady, I would suggest buying a dress like the mini tulip dress with flute sleeves above, as this won’t make you look too small. Make sure to wear some stunning high heels with your dresses instead of flats or ballerina’s because the dress is a very feminine piece of clothing and should remain that way.
Skin tone
Bright colours can be worn by everyone but you may still need to try the dress on if you are unsure whether the dress will compliment your skin tone. Darker skin toned ladies won’t have too many worries because bright colours usually look great on darker skin. Lighter skin toned ladies however need to take the colour into account. For example, if your skin is very light and you’ve got blond hair as well, don’t go for yellow dresses but opt for blue. Beige is also a colour to stay away from for light skin toned ladies. If you are unsure about the type of colour or are just not that into colours then go for black. Black dresses can be combined with almost everything and will always look good on any type of skin.
Happy shopping!
