What to wear during job interviews?

Posted by John in Fashion Tips - (Comments Off)

During interview, it is necessary to present one self in elegant way. Whether you are man or a woman, dress code is an important factor at the time of job interview. Being a woman, it is highly essential for maintaining the dress code while giving the interview.

Tips on what to wear to a job interview

There are few tips which you can follow in order to represent yourself properly in front of the interviewer:-

  • If possible try to know the dress code for the interview beforehand. You can get in touch with the receptionist of the employer’s office to know about the dress details (if any).
  • If you are going for corporate office, choose well tailored two-piece suit. The dress should be neat and ironed. If you are wearing skirt, make sure you wear calf length skirt. If the skirt has side slit, make sure it ends before the knee.
  • Along with this, the blouse that you choose to wear should not be too tight or too loose. In other words, it should fit well with your figure. Ill-fitted blouse may distract your interviewer’s attention.
  • As far as the colour goes, choose dark shades for the suit or the skirt and light shade for the blouse.
  • Avoid doing too much make-up on your face.

With these factors, try to wear minimal accessories as per the requirement.  Such are some of the tips included in the women’s clothing category.

Following the resounding success of New York Fashion Week, our capital had to pull out all of the stops to ensure the catwalks were as style-and-celebrity-packed as its American predecessor. Teams of Fashion PRs were waiting on the front rows to document everything that was happening.

Fearne Cotton made her debut at London Fashion Week with her Very collection, which proved to be a triumphant success. Known for her outlandish and quirky outfits, Fearne has designed her collection to incorporate her own personal style to add that little extra appeal to her fans. One model in particular donned a hard-back book as a headpiece.

In addition to it being her debut show, another highlight of Fearne’s LFW appearance was the focus on social media. The show was streamed live on the website and PR teams were facebook-ing and tweeting all the latest news as the collections were displayed. This is a fantastic example of how social media and the internet are being incorporated into the fashion world. Whitney Port from The Hills tweeted Fearne earlier in the day to tell her she would be sitting front row at her show, which was a result for Celebrity PR, as journalists could locate and follow celebrities who were attending the fashion events.

A number of exciting new trends emerged, including the return of citric colours, namely orange and yellow.  Fashion PR teams paid close attention to Matthew Williamson’s collection, which dazzled with bright and sparkly embellished designs and an emphasis on detail – sequins, beading and so on.

London Fashion Week always bolsters media relations as fashionistas from all over the world gather together to share ideas and pass on information about the latest trends. Social media is particularly affluent, as a worldwide audience have the opportunity to follow what is happening live on the catwalks. Public Relations agencies are relishing in this new venture.

As London Fashion Week 2011 draws to a close, the anticipation of Milan grows, to see if it can live up to the fashion legacy that London has left behind.

More and more people are starting to wear personalised hoodies in day to day life. Usually, these are stereotypically associated with university students and sports teams. However here are ten tips for other ways to make your own hoodie that isn’t exclusive to a team or education institute.

Personalized Hoodies

A memorable quote

This is a good way to pay homage or tribute to an inspirational person. This can be someone particularly influential from the past, like Martin Luther King, or a celebrity who has many memorable quotes.

A picture and/or quote from a TV show or film

There are many famous catchphrases and pictures from tv shows and films that would look good on a hoodie. For example, a picture of Joe Pesci from “Goodfellas” with the phrase “Funny how?” underneath.

The name of your favourite team

This is a fantastic way to show allegiance to your favourite sports team and also keep warm whilst at the games. You could also kit it out with the name of the sports team you play for, as mentioned above.

Group name

One of the most popular choices, many people buy hoodies for memorable trips or occasions such as holidays and stag/hen parties. It is a good way to remember good times from the past, and also a great way to describe someone if you lose a member of your party.

School mascot

One way of representing your school is to get the name of your education institution on a hoodie with a picture of the emblem or mascot on there.

Picture of a super hero

Nothing stands out like a Superman badge or a picture of The Incredible Hulk. If you really wanted to live up to your childhood you could even zip up the hood to create a mask over your face.

A witty statement

There is a huge market for humorous hoodies and this is for a reason. Whether it’s a simple witty quote, or a play on words or even a picture, there’s nothing like a good old funny hoodie to put a smile on your face.

Hopefully these will help you design your personalised hoodie. Whilst these are all good ideas in theory, always be careful to check out copyright and privacy laws. Many famous images will be protected and most vendors will refuse to print if they believe they are in breach of any laws.

Be it in the board room or in the sport ground, the importance of right cloth is enormous. You need to wear it right to make everything right. Wrong cloths will not only make you an ill fit among the crowd, it will put a great dent to your poise and dignity.

Fitting is the keyword while choosing your cloths. Whatever you decide to wear should fit well and reflect your inner self. This is why people make such fuss over the right fitting.

While shopping for the right cloth, browse through the webpage of Mark McNairy. This clothing line up has got everything to offer to the customers. You will find almost everything here – from formals to casuals. Select whatever catches the flight of your fancy and make the right impact.

When shopping for the right clothes, you keep in mind various points – size, cut, material, colour, and such others. Do you have the faintest idea that your personality matters as well? While a dress matching your personality makes you stand out in a crowd, anything that is a mismatch may be quite the fashion disaster.

Fascinating belle of a fantastical world – Pairing an embroidered blouse gathered at the waist with a sensuous Bootcut jeans or wearing a floaty dress with lace inserts may be the right ones for you. Touches of embellishment on simple clothes work well to create this nice, dreamy look.

Stylish woman of the glam world – Smart, fitted blouses with just a hint of lace or a touch of embellishments, jeans that accentuate the right curves, jackets and coats that beautify your figure, and such others go well to add glamour to your look. Choose the right footwear and you are set to turn every head your way.

New age, no-fuss female – Minimalist embellishments, monochromatic prints, straight lines, and such features mark the style of the new age women. Whether it is a business meet or a formal event, the dressing style of the modern female attracts attention for the simplicity it embodies.

Whichever style suits your personality type; you need to make sure you buy clothes that complement it. Any mismatch may either be too feeble to support your signature style or be too overbearing on your personality. Check out the online store to find pieces that help you create the look you wish.
