During interview, it is necessary to present one self in elegant way. Whether you are man or a woman, dress code is an important factor at the time of job interview. Being a woman, it is highly essential for maintaining the dress code while giving the interview.

There are few tips which you can follow in order to represent yourself properly in front of the interviewer:-

  • If possible try to know the dress code for the interview beforehand. You can get in touch with the receptionist of the employer’s office to know about the dress details (if any).
  • If you are going for corporate office, choose well tailored two-piece suit. The dress should be neat and ironed. If you are wearing skirt, make sure you wear calf length skirt. If the skirt has side slit, make sure it ends before the knee.
  • Along with this, the blouse that you choose to wear should not be too tight or too loose. In other words, it should fit well with your figure. Ill-fitted blouse may distract your interviewer’s attention.
  • As far as the colour goes, choose dark shades for the suit or the skirt and light shade for the blouse.
  • Avoid doing too much make-up on your face.

London leads the way for next summer’s style

Following the resounding success of New York Fashion Week, our capital had to pull out all of the stops to ensure the catwalks were as style-and-celebrity-packed as its American predecessor. Teams of Fashion PRs were waiting on the front rows to document everything that was happening.

Fearne Cotton made her debut at London Fashion Week with her Very collection, which proved to be a triumphant success. Known for her outlandish and quirky outfits, Fearne has designed her collection to incorporate her own personal style to add that little extra appeal to her fans. One model in particular donned a hard-back book as a headpiece.

In addition to it being her debut show, another highlight of Fearne’s LFW appearance was the focus on social media. The show was streamed live on the website and PR teams were facebook-ing and tweeting all the latest news as the collections were displayed. This is a fantastic example of how social media and the internet are being incorporated into the fashion world. Whitney Port from The Hills tweeted Fearne earlier in the day to tell her she would be sitting front row at her show, which was a result for Celebrity PR, as journalists could locate and follow celebrities who were attending the fashion events.

A number of exciting new trends emerged, including the return of citric colours, namely orange and yellow.  Fashion PR teams paid close attention to Matthew Williamson’s collection, which dazzled with bright and sparkly embellished designs and an emphasis on detail – sequins, beading and so on.

London Fashion Week always bolsters media relations as fashionistas from all over the world gather together to share ideas and pass on information about the latest trends. Social media is particularly affluent, as a worldwide audience have the opportunity to follow what is happening live on the catwalks. Public Relations agencies are relishing in this new venture.
